It is shocking to think of Finn Juhl designing this sculptural chair in 1940 – that was more than 75 years ago, and the Pelican Chair is still “out there” by today’s standards. With graceful curves that befriend the body and wrap the sitter in its embrace, the Pelican is true to Juhl’s idea that “a chair is not just a product of decorative art in a space, it is a form and a space in itself.” And while the influence of contemporary sculpture is clear, Juhl was quick to clarify that “furniture is furniture, not sculpture.” The upholstery is hand-sewn onto the frame; some colors (see below) are finished with tufted buttons. This is the authentic Pelican Chair by Onecollection. Made in Denmark. Colors with tufted buttons: grey with red cushion and red buttons; teal with light blue cushion and light blue buttons; cream with leather sand cushion and leather sand buttons.

Steel frame molded in hard cellular plastic and MDI; walnut legs; canvas-linen bottom cover; 100% recyclable Pantera foam and cotton fiber padding; hand-sewn double-stitched upholstery. PKaufmann Karakul Custom Gold upholstery.

Shipping and Delivery:
Our shipping methods are determined by the type of item. Our available shipping methods are Fedex, Threshold and White Glove/In-Home delivery. Depending on location, some items might require a shipping quote our cost and delivery time could vary considerably. Smaller items tend to ship FedEx, and most large furniture pieces ships with full-service In-Home Delivery, which includes placement in your room of choice, assembly and removal of all packaging.
FedEx Delivery:*
Smaller parcels will be delivered to your door Tuesday–Saturday. Tracking information will be provided once your order leaves our warehouse. Typical delivery takes 5–10 business days from date of shipment. Parcels with a total combined selling price over 0 require a direct signature from the buyer. Tracking number's will be provided via eBay or e-mail.
Threshold Delivery:*
Larger parcels will be delivered over your threshold unless destination is a multi-unit building, in which case they will be left inside building entrance, not at your door. Typical delivery takes 1–3 weeks from date of shipment within the contiguous U.S. Includes an appointment with a 4-hour delivery window coordinated by an agent. Excludes unpacking, assembly and removal of packing materials. Please note: Deliveries to remote areas without highway access may take longer than usual
White Glove/In-Home Delivery:*
Larger parcels will be delivered into your space and placed as specified. Typical delivery takes 1–3 weeks from date of shipment within the contiguous U.S. Includes an appointment with a 4-hour delivery window coordinated by an agent, unpacking, assembly, placement in your room of choice and removal of packing materials. Excludes wall mounting, electrical work, structural changes, assembly of shelving and removal of non-DWR items. This method is sometimes required for select items subject to damage due to their size, weight or fragility.*Please note: Deliveries to remote areas without highway access may take longer than usual
Local Pickup:
When available, we offer free local pickup where the item is located at the time of purchase. Those locations are DWR Outlets located in Brooklyn, NY; Yonkers, NY; Oxnard, CA; Vero Beach, FL. Please make arrangements to pick up your items within 3 days of sale and/or contact us for more information.
International shipping:
Our items are designed and packaged for delivery within the contiguous U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Canada (limitations apply). We do not offer shipping or freight forwarding to international destinations; however, we can ship to a domestic freight forwarder of your choosing for international delivery
