BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE VALLEY FORGE 1950
This is a collection of material from the Jamboree at Valley Forge.There is a beautiful map of Pennsylvania for the Jamboree- it measures 23 x 32". It is "as new". There is an album with photos of the boy scouts encampment activities with a map of the site.This attractive album is 12 x 9 " with many unnumbered pages filled with the events from beginning to goodbye. Both General Eisenhower and President Truman were at the Jamboree and are in some of the photos. The blue booklet-JAMBOREE 1950- was put together by the Philadelphia inquirer and has material about Truman's visit. There are very good photos and interesting text. This booklet is in good condition but has a name and date inked on the front cover. The Scouting magazine was the regular September issue and has an article about the Jamboree. The wood plaque has the Washington Jamboree emblem pasted on - there is a small crack to the upper corner and a little bubbling (does this add an interesting aged look? we think so!).
We are an art gallery and frame shop in Downtown St. Cloud with a 30 year history. We have always had a small antique division which specializes in paper collectibles. We carry a wide selection of postcards, old magazines, antique books, old maps and prints. Our shop is open 9:30- 5:00 Monday -Friday and 9:30-3:00 Saturday. We only close Sundays and the major holidays.
