    Description

I am auctioning off my approximately 50-year-old
collectible white porcelain coffee mug of the
Boy Scouts of America Sergeant Floyd Council of Iowa, the mug featuring the classic gold ring around the top so popular with the Boy Scouts in the late 1960s and 1970s. The mug states, "TOP DOG BSA Sergeant Floyd Council," with a drawing of Snoopy from the Peanuts comic strip.
This mug measures 3 inches tall, 3.25 inches in diameter, it has an easy-to-grasp handle, and holds about 8 ounces of coffee. It weighs 8.5 ounces.
This mug is in great condition. Your best guide to condition is the set of large, high-resolution, pictures I've included with this listing.
This is one of the most poignant mugs in my BSA mug collection, most of which are up for auction along with this one. I write "poignant," because in 1972, the 33-year-old Sergeant Floyd Council merged into the Prairie Gold Council of Sioux City, Iowa, and Sergeant Floyd Council was no more.
If you decide to bid, good luck! If you win the auction, I'll pack your collectible mug carefully and ship it to you via USPS the day after payment.
