Carved Wooden Articulated PINOCCHIO Doll
This charming Pinocchio is very hard to find.  He is hand carved and painted circa the early 1900's.  He has a very unusual  articulated head (on the stiff side) and arms. His legs are stationary.  Pinocchio is stamped on the bottom of one foot while on the other is Made in... and what looks like a G  which I would say stands for Germany.  However, the only other example I have seen of this doll was listed as being made in Italy so you decide.  He is the perfect size for a dollhouse or to sit alongside other miniature dolls. He boasts loads of character with a wonderful aged patina to both the carved wood and hand painting. One leg is slightly longer than the other so while he can stand on his own, he does so at a slight angle.
