    Description

    A remarkable miniature solid bronze figure of a BULL from American history.  Marked Rogers & Smith New Haven Conn - the marking dates this from 1862 - 1877 - a solid 1 pound 10 ounce sculpture that has all the artistic depiction of the times.  Measures 2 and 3/4 inches tall x 4 and 3/4 inches long.  Nice aged overall patina.  There is a spot along the outer edge of the left rear hoof that is exposed (see separate photo) which may or may not have had some other portion of the sculpture attached.  With nothing to compare it to it's difficult to state for certain. But one thing is certain this is an American historical piece from a renowned silversmith and one that would display proudly in any collection of bovine figures or Americana bronze figures.  Other than the issue noted along the hoof there is no other notable damage or repairs.
